Error

Business Validation Error: Not a valid product or service name.  Names must have at least one character and cannot include tabs, newlines or ':'.

Cause

If product categories are not enabled in QuickBooks Online and the product name includes a ":" then the product creation will fail. QuickBooks Online uses the ":" to separate product categories, sub-categories, and items.

1. If product categories are used in QuickBooks Online, You will need to verify the Category is entered correctly. Please review our Product Category Mapping knowledge base article for detailed information.

2. If product categories are not in use, please remove the ":" from the product name in ConnectWise PSA and try rebatching.
