Categories
The Categories tab stores class and location tracking information
Use Classes: If enabled, Manage transaction line GL Account Classes will map to QuickBooks Online classes.This requires the Track Classes option be enabled in QuickBooks Online under Company Settings > Company > Categories.
Create Classes: If enabled, Manage transaction line GL Account Classes will automatically be created if they do not already exist.
Use Locations: If enabled, Manage transaction header (Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable) GL Account Classes will map to QuickBooks Online locations. This requires the Track Locations option be enabled in QuickBooks Online under Company Settings > Company > Categories.
Location Source: The source of "Use Locations" to be used when creating ConnectWise Invoices in QuickBooks Online.
- Class: Transaction header GL accounts (i.e. Accounts/Receivable/Accounts Payable) "Class" (aka "Account Set") will be used to map to QuickBooks Online locations
- Using classes will apply this setting at a company level and will allow this source to be used for all transaction types.
- Territory: AR Invoice "Territory" will be used to map to QuickBooks Online Locations
- Please note that Territory only applies to AR (Accounts Receivable) Invoices. Locations will not be applied to QuickBooks Online AP (Accounts Payable) Invoices if using Territory as the Location Source.
- Also note that that this source will not apply for other transaction types (i.e. expenses & PO's)
